# ParkSaathi

> ParkSaathi is a neighbour-to-neighbour (peer-to-peer) parking app for India. Homeowners and housing-society residents list their own private parking spot; drivers find a nearby spot, send a booking request for a time slot, and pay the host directly by UPI. Launching first in Bengaluru.

## Core facts
- **Type**: Two-sided marketplace for individual/residential parking spaces (not commercial parking lots).
- **Launch city**: Bengaluru, Karnataka, India.
- **App**: Android, coming soon to Google Play. iPhone version planned later. The website is information-only; there is no booking on the web.
- **One app for both sides**: the same account can be a driver, a host, or both.
- **Languages in the app**: English and Hindi.

## For drivers
- Search a place or use your location to see approved spots nearby (within about 5 km), closest first, with walking time.
- Filter by vehicle size (two-wheeler, hatchback, sedan, SUV) and amenities (covered, CCTV, security guard, EV charging).
- Each spot shows 3 photos, a description, the hourly rate and the host's average rating.
- Send a request for a start time and 1–12 hours. The host accepts or declines; unanswered requests are declined automatically when the slot ends.
- After the host accepts, both sides can see each other's phone number and the driver can open directions in Google Maps.
- Pay the host directly by UPI when you arrive. Drivers pay no fees to ParkSaathi.

## For hosts
- List one parking spot: 3 photos, a short description, hourly price (you choose, within app limits), the biggest vehicle it fits, amenities, and proof you own or rent the property (property tax receipt or rental agreement).
- Every listing is reviewed by hand before it goes live.
- Accept or decline each request. Pause the listing whenever you need the spot.
- ParkSaathi charges hosts a 12% platform fee on each completed booking, recorded as dues in the app. No joining or subscription fees.

## Trust and safety
- Every user uploads their Aadhaar card (front and back) and a live selfie, which the ParkSaathi team reviews by hand before the account can be used. Aadhaar is not authenticated with UIDAI.
- Hosts and drivers can rate each other after a booking.
- ParkSaathi is a neutral platform: it is not a party to bookings, never holds vehicles or money, and is not responsible for theft, damage, payment problems or disputes between users.
- Users accept the Terms & Conditions in the app every time they log in or create an account; the acceptance (time and version) is recorded.
- Listings, hosts and drivers can be reported from the app (Report this listing, a flag on the driver's booking, Report driver on the host's booking request). "Contact Support" opens an email to the team.

## Your account
- Delete your account from Profile > Delete account (not possible while you have upcoming bookings).
- You can reopen it within 7 days by creating an account again with the same mobile number or Google account; after 7 days the account and all its data (profile, ID images, listings, bookings, ratings, fee records) are permanently deleted.
